I was asked to give my testimony; and I'm thankful to do this:
I remember when I first go saved. I couldn't wait to tell people what happened to me. I thought I had gotten saved when I was between age 12 -13. Another girl and I went to the altar at the Sunday evening service, at a little Baptist Church my family and I were attending; and was baptized soon after. I continued my schooling, then years passed, got married, had 6 children, still there was something missing in my life. The LORD was drawing me to Him. I know that now. One Saturday evening after dinner, I was alone in my house, when someone knocked at my door. There was a man standing on the porch; he was looking for someone else. He started talking of spiritual things and his testimony; so I stepped out on the porch. He continued to talk of what the LORD had done for him; proving how the devil had deceived him; then he left. I believed him and kept thinking on those things he had said. About 1 1/2 hours later, he returned with his wife, mother, and young son. This time, he kept quiet, and his wife talked and cried. Tears were running down her face. My heart was touched. I couldn't take my eyes off her; she was talking of being saved and of God's love. After they left, I couldn't think of anything else, and didn't sleep much that night. I thought I would die before I could be saved. Early the next morning, I surrendered all unto the Lord and got SAVED, January 5, 1975. I know the Lord makes no mistakes. He knew the man would come to my house and sow the seed. His wife watered the seed. The Lord reaped the increase. PRAISE THE LORD! to GOD be the GLORY!
