Malachi 3:17- And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

September 2011 "What meaneth these stones?"
The September meeting started with Mrs. Jan Binns sharing her personal testimony. As she had battled cancer, the Lord showed her that all events in our lives can be compared to stones. Some are beautiful, shiny, and smooth, as wonderful blessings in our lives, but then some are ugly, dull, and sharp, as the trials we face! She encouraged each of us to take a glass of stones home that she had provided. As we look at these, we are reminded that the Lord has allowed good and bad to bring us closer to HIM!! Mrs. Kay Waters gave a presentation on 'Cancer Awarness' that women may be educated on the importance of early detection and prompt medical attention.
August 2011 "The Pattern of a Godly Life"
At our August J.E.W.E.L.S. meeting, Blanche Frasier spoke to the ladies on "The Pattern of a Godly Life". She showed us in Exodus where God took Moses to Mt. Sinai to show him the "pattern" for the tabernacle. God also gave the "pattern" for the temple to King David. The New Testament describes the Christian's body as a tabernacle and a temple of God. The "pattern" that God has given us for ourselves is the Lord Jesus Christ and the revealed Word of God. God will show us the heavenly "pattern" for our lives as we walk in close personal relationship with Him and study His Word. After a time of refreshments and fellowship, Karen Haley showed us the beautiful and unique quilts she had brought and the special tools used to make quilts. In keeping with the key theme of the evening, she told us what each "pattern" was called and how she had made them. Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, ..." Jackie Bryant
